It's not--although us Browncoats do tend to utter certain words when we're stressed...and for my Firefly Mock Opera I had to learn how to say "you are a babboon's ass crack, you pile of dog droppings. Go fuck yourself," in phonetic Mandarin....boy, that was a chore!
It was cobbled from actual profanity translated for Firefly episodes. Joss Wedon got away with it because it was in Chinese--but some of it is quite graphic and crude. The censors let him slip a lot by. If you go to the Firefly sites you can get detailed quotes and phonetic pronounciation etc....great fun!
