Vet Smackdown! Dr. Walker 1, Meep 0

Meepers is back from the vet and I have the scars to prove it :grins::
Diagnosis: Deep bacterial infection in both ears compounded by ear mites
Treatment: antibiotic shot, single-dose treatment for the mites plus drops twice a day for a (fun-filled) week
Also got her rabies and feluke vaccines
I have a very pissed off kitty in the bathroom with food and water--she wasn't eating because she was so dizzy from the inner ear infections that jumping up to get her dinner was impossible. I've got her extra food and water in my office on ground level.
I will say that Dr. W was impressed with the way I handled my girl--"How long since you were a vet tech? Well, you sure haven't lost your touch!" I only got scratched hauling her out from under the recliner.
Here's our patient...looking almost angelic... Cat...you're gonna give your mama grey hairs one day....

She's truly lovely--and she is the perfect twin of Harley, who was my kittyboy for 15 years. When Harley was dying of cancer, everytime I'd come to Roomie's house (didn't rent here back then) Meep would cling to me when she wouldn't have anything to do with anybody else. After I lost Harley and moved in here Meep decided I was hers. Roomie didn't mind and so we made it official. I just came from the bathroom where she's having a bit of quiet time--she chirped and butted me with her head and then climbed into my arms as if to say, "sorry I scared the shit out of you, Mom"
