I Just Got A TEXT from Brother--THANK THE POWERS!!!

Just a moment ago the cell phone (which has been glued to me all day) buzzed with a text--Dale is out, awake and doing well---and here's the BEST PART--they decided to try to get in through the side of his head, going through the ear. That means he lost the inner ear and will not recover his hearing on that side--BUT they didn't have to drill big holes in his skull or take the front part of his face off--which is what we originally thought they'd have to do to get it since it was behind the eyesocket. They went in through the side and got the little bastard.
Furious as I am at his wife--and there are no words for that level of anger--hearing from him and knowing it went so well means the world to me!!!!!!!

*hugs* I'm very glad you finally got the news, moreover that it's happy news! :) *more hugs* It sucks that you had to wait to find, but better late than never, I suppose. I'm glad you found out before you lost a night of sleep over it. I'm so happy for you that he's okay.

Thanks--I found out on FB from a long time friend of our family--my brother's closest friend, who posted to me that he'd found out hours before that Dale was okay...I'm grateful to hm and to everybody here who has put up with my whining and emo-ing and ranting and anger...quite embarassing...but the only thing that matters is Dale made it and even has his skull intact! I probably still won't sleep much...but that's okay...I'll just work on Half Lives Chapter 17...
